Details:
Here is my first image ever of Comet ISON. I’ve been wanting to shoot some images of it and I finally got a chance. The weather was perfect. The only thing was I had to cut down a small tree in my yard the afternoon before shooting it to get a clear spot.
This was taken with an 85mm, F/5.6 Televue TV-85 APO refractor and a modified Canon T3 DSLR. Tracking was on the stars. "Star-freeze" processing and a composite image was constructed to eliminate the stars looking like lines when stacking on the comet.
