http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bragg_grating/ I beleive I am the first person in the world to point a Bragg Grating at the sun. This elaborate filtration system I built entirely in my own garage, and it was not cheap to do so. However this is beyond narrowband, Somewhere in the area of .05nm, or half an angstrom. The transmission exceeds 50% at the eyepiece, it is intended for 4000mm focal lengths or more, but compatible with less using a neutral density filter. Go ahead and put this in a 300mm aperture telescope, just make sure you keep your hands off the heat sink :)- Bragging Rights are officially mine. No pun intended.

thanks sergio, i really need to pick up a focal reducer so I can see what a full disk looks like with this rig. Or a 1 large sensor camera :) The sky was totally boiling away with convection waves today, so I am praying for some better seeing conditions too!
