Proof that it's still worth having a look even if the forecast looks grim. We were pleased that it was such a clear night and were excited at the prospect of spotting an aurora. Our hotel told us not to get our hopes up because the forecast is low and we're unlikely to see anything. We were only in Iceland for a handful of days and decided to give it a go. Within 5 minutes we had a delightful show that lasted around half an hour. Take that! Taken on 21 September with a Nikon D3100
