Details:
Was very cloudy when I went up a local mountain (roughly 5 miles of walking), hoping to catch a break to photograph some auroras and luckily I did and at the right time. The aurora flared up like mad even contesting the moonlight that was shinging from behind the camera. Shot with a Nikon D800, 14-24mm F2.8 @ 18mm, 2.8, iso 400, 8 seconds.
