The Spaceweather website showed that NEO 2026 RG2 would pass planet Earth at a distance of 2.1 LD on 2026-Sep-13. The rock is 15 metres diameter and moving at 5.4 kms/sec. After importing the elements into The Sky X Pro I was able to locate the mag. 17.62 NEO in our southern skies and set a Custom Tracking Rate to follow 2026 RG2, leaving the stars to trail in the background. I managed to record 5x120 sec exposures which I processed in Pixinsight and PS CC to obtain this result. Celestron C11 Edge HD at F10, ASI 2600 MC Pro camera, 5x120 sec exposures.
