My take on the lunar eclipse last night on the edge of a growing raft of clouds. It's a cool thing to see all the stars come back out as the moon grows darker.

HDR blending lunar eclipse images is about the toughest astro challenge I've dealt with, even compared to comets, I'd say. At least to get the range I'm hoping for. An interesting tidbit with this one — the edge of the umbral shadow is situated just above Mare Frigoris, which is the dark ribbon just above Mare Imbrium (the huge dark circle at top left of the moon). That coincidence kept making it look like a sloppy processing error, like a dark band right at the edge of the shadow. I deliberately reduced contrast there to try & mitigate that effect.
