Details:
These four images document the total solar eclipse of 12 August 2026 from Laguna de los Peces in Zamora, Spain.
The first image is a chronological sequence composed of 12 frames captured from the same location at 300 mm. It runs clockwise; its elliptical arrangement and spacing are a graphic interpretation rather than a scale representation of elapsed time or the Sun’s actual position.
The second image shows totality and combines three bracketed exposures aligned and manually blended to retain detail in the inner and outer corona and the red solar prominences around the Moon’s edge.
The third was captured immediately after totality, close to third contact, as a brilliant arc of sunlight began to emerge while solar prominences remained visible.
The fourth shows the filtered partial crescent approaching the western horizon during the final stages of the eclipse.
All images were captured with a Canon EOS 250D and a Canon EF 75–300mm lens at 300 mm, mounted on a tripod. The individual images contain no astronomical elements that were added, removed or repositioned.
