Details:
This is how I observed the solar eclipse on VLF radio waves. Since the D layer of the ionosphere is dependent on direct sunlight, I expected that during the eclipse there would be a change in the SID monitor record. And yes, the change is recorded and it is very clear that the eclipse took place at a time when the D layer of the ionosphere was in retreat. To the record from 12.8 I added records from 11.8 and 13.8 to see the change in the quality of the D layer of the ionosphere the day before, during the eclipse and the day after the eclipse. Here are the records of the SID monitor RUDY BASE.
