Details:
In Lisbon the August 12 eclipse ran into sunset, so I worked out the position in advance: from Praia das Lavadeiras in Almada, across the Tagus from Lisbon, the still-eclipsed sun came down right on top of the 25 de Abril bridge span, framed between the deck and the suspension cables, barely three degrees above the horizon, in the final minutes of the eclipse.
