The Perseids are active, and I've set up my large 9-element Yagi antenna for 144-146 MHz. It's borrowed from amateur radio (HAM), which of course also receives excellently on 143 MHz. That one MHz difference doesn't matter. Seeing radio images of meteors via the GRAVE radar in the waterfall is always wonderful. Of course, you can't say with absolute certainty what kind of meteor it is. But the images resemble meteors in the sky. Sometimes you also see quite curious images, presumably burning space debris. The Doppler effect of the ping is also wonderfully audible through the sound card. However, I observe every year, even here in the radio band, that the Perseid activity decreases significantly. Even after midnight, there are hardly any echoes. I myself have been a licensed radio amateur for 34 years. I already had the necessary equipment (antenna, receiver) almost automatically.
