Details:
An image of AR 4482 captured today. It reveals delicate details but, above all, clearly visible light bridges. A light bridge is a bright, filamentary structure that spans the dark area of a sunspot (the umbra). An indicator of intense magnetic activity, it often signals the onset of the sunspot's decay or fragmentation, or precedes explosive solar flares. TMB 13 cm refractor barlow 2x.
