Details:
The Moon–Venus conjunction looked so beautiful, especially above the fireflies. It was so ethereal and magical, like something out of a fairy tale. I had never seen anything quite like it before.
Around Midsummer’s Eve on June 24, fireflies usually reach the peak of their activity. This year, the warm weather in May likely brought them out a little earlier than usual.
They can often be found along forest edges and in areas with little to no light pollution.
Their presence is a gentle reminder of the importance of dark skies, not only for stargazing, but also for biodiversity.
