Viewing Jupiter, Venus, and Mercury setting between Southern California’s tallest mountain San Gorgonio 11,499 feet on the right and Mt. San Jacinto 10,833 ft on the left. Palm Springs, elevation 479 ft, is at base of Mt. San Jacinto and begins the steepest pitch of any mountain in North America.
