Venus–Jupiter Conjunction These days, we can enjoy this beautiful conjunction low in the western sky after sunset. Yesterday, June 8th, from the Canary Islands, the two planets appeared almost level with each other, although as they neared the horizon, Jupiter sat slightly lower than Venus. We went to a spot near home where light pollution is quite significant, and the switch to white LED street lighting is very noticeable, something I personally can't stand. I took two photos with different white balance settings in an attempt to reduce that whitish glow, but I'm not really convinced by either result. At least the conjunction was captured...
