Details:
Almost clear skies in the late afternoon on 1st May provided a good view of the Full ‘Flower’ Moon rising from a thin layer of cloud into a pink Belt of Venus to the east of Murambi Heights between 5.27 and 5.30 pm. The beautiful pink Belt of Venus with Earth Shadow beneath resulted from reflection of light from the Sun setting in the opposite direction. A final spectacle on returning home was the Full ‘Flower’ Moon rising above some security light illuminated flowers on a ‘Fifth Dimension’ Hibiscus plant in my garden. Camera: Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ60 in sunset and manual exposure modes.
