Details:
In August 2024, I observed several Starlink V2 mini satellites in operational orbit in high resolution and captured 1 detailed observation of a flare appearing on the edge of the satellite bus. The solar arrays are not visible in this configuration in operational orbit. The satellite bus of a V2 mini is very faint in operational orbit, very different then the situation just a few days after launch, when they can appear naked eye in the sky. That's when the solar arrays are still open book configured. All images are obtained using a fully manually tracked 25cm (0.25m) reflecting telescope. Tracking was realized by using a small secondary scope at 6x magnification.
