Details:
What several of us saw were pulsating auroras; extraordinary and shocking. I had to ask others to confirm what I was seeing. In 13 years of leading aurora viewing tours I have never witnessed this. Not possible to photograph them with phones or DSLRs since they flashed two to five times/second. Photos attached were the background of these flashes.
