Details:
For more than 4 hours on the 5.5 hour flight from Minneapolis to Reykjavik I was able to photogrpah the Lights out a D seat window facing southeast. Uusally it is out of a northwest facing window but the activity was so diverse over Greenland that this was quite remarkable. The aurora took on the appearance at the beginning and end of the display of dense cirrus but this was quickly dispelled when patterns of spikes moved from one part of the horizon to the other.
