Well, this was a first for me: imaging Jupiter during daytime. This sequence started at 15:49 UT, with the Sun above the horizon, at about 5 degrees of altitude. The nice and big shadow of Ganymede is seen, as is the Great Red Spot. The two moon, Io and Ganymede are to the right. I've also processed a fun image, stacking the 25 individual stacks using Ganymede's shadow as anchor. The nice effect shows that Ganymede and its shadow move almost at the same speed as the rotation of the planet. Io is seen a streak due to its rapid movement. The animation shows 28 minutes of movement, with the sky background rapidly getting dark as the Sun goes down. 355 mm Newtonian, ASI 462MC.
