Details:
To observe the total lunar eclipse on March 3, 2026, I decided to travel to the Yucatan Peninsula. Just a few meters from the Mayan ruins of the Observatory into the ancient city of Chichén Itzá, I found my perfect shot. I knew that by traveling east, I would lose minutes of eclipse viewing time, but I took a chance on finding a great photo of the eclipse's evolution as the moon approached the horizon near of this imposing monument. It was great to watch the eclipse from this great location!
