Details:
Mare Tranquillitatis displays Arago crater a well known volcanic region and including lunar volcanoes (lunar domes) as Arago α (termed A2). The other smaller domes in Arago and Carrel show lower flank slopes hence implying lower lava viscosities , higher effusion rates and very short durations of the effusion process if compared with the dome Arago α. Some lunar craters and domes are lebelled. Furthermore the image shows Lamont which is a system of low ridges in the surface of Mare Tranquillitatis. It is associated with a mass concentration (mascon), a sub-surface region of higher-density material. Mak cassegrain 18 cm telescope from Rome Italy.
