"One Lonely Garden Variety Meteor in a Sky Full of Satellites" February 23, 2026, 7:06 pm CST Albany, Missouri Shown here is a lonely bright meteor (brightest streak upper left just coming into frame) passing through the atmosphere. Also seen are dozens of satellites whose paths crisscrossed the night sky during the 10 minutes or so integration time captured by this northeast-facing Missouri Skies meteor/aurora camera. The two or three lines along the horizon just above the trees are planes. This is evident by the anti-collision lights on the planes "pulsing" as they moved through the air. Also included is the same meteor in the North-facing Black& White Infrared camera.
