Details:
Managed to collect some images of Comet C/2026 B2 (Sun-Gao) just after the comet rose above the Catalina Mountains on the morning of February 14 before the clouds rolled in again. The comet continues to brighten and calculations from the only stack of 18x10s images that I managed to collect at an altitude of 6.5 degrees gave a magnitude of 12.7 with a comet coma 0.8' wide. The comet rose in the ENE morning skies, I mistakenly reported the comet rose in the southeast before dawn with my last images when actually the comet rose in the east morning skies. Each morning the comet is slowly moving a little farther north and getting a little higher in the morning skies as the comet is now moving away from the Sun and Earth, it should now start to get fainter.
