Details:
Results from a productive night whilst 'Aurora Chasing' in North Cymru. The effects of a major solar-storm caused by a X1.9 CME-flare from sunspot 4341 were still being felt on Earth's Thermosphere and as the Peak District was clouded-out I decided it was worth taking a chance making the 4-hour round trip to Trwyn Du Lighthouse in the hope of seeing something. Fortunately the Aurora stats and clear-skies worked in my favour and I was rewarded with a few hours of heightened activity past midnight that gave off a colourful display alongside vivid Aurora Pillars.
