Details:
I was quite surprised when I walked outdoors between 6:30-7 PM to see these aurora with moderate naked eye visibility. My camera was already set up to go. The saving grace was that they actually appeared in the western skies, which have far less light pollution here. Bortle 6 skies towards north, so usually never see them. 1-20-26. First time ever capturing them from home. Nearly as strong as the ones from Oct '24 except of much shorter duration, <5 min, and that was all for the night. Talk about being at the right place at the right time!
