Details:
Arp 112 is an interacting pair of galaxies listed in Halton Arp’s Atlas of Peculiar Galaxies, a catalog created to highlight unusual and disturbed galactic structures. It consists of the galaxies NGC 7805 and NGC 7806, which appear close together in the sky and show signs of gravitational interaction. Their mutual pull is believed to be affecting their shapes and internal motions, potentially triggering regions of enhanced star formation. Systems like Arp 112 are valuable to astronomers because they provide clear examples of how galaxy interactions can reshape galaxies over time and play a major role in galactic evolution.
