Details:
I have been running my scope past days hoping for an x flare, and today was the day, a large X2 just before lunch for me. Lucky me, I was watching the computer at 1600 UTC and then shortly after it erupted so I was imaging it at the moment. It was so bright I was sure it was an X and this confirmed here at Spaceweather shortly after. It was great to watch its progress and then fade. Astrophysics 110, Lunt calcium module
