The most beautiful end to the year imaginable! This image shows the bright blue-green comet, as if conjured up, near the Galaxie chain, in a field of view measuring a good 3°x 5°. 20 x 140 sec. starting at 04:37h UT. the light of the stars through my Takahashi FSQ ED F/3.6 onto the sensor of the Canon EOS RP Full ISO 1600. I used DXO Pure RAW for noise reduction,Fitswork for enhancement, and Photoshop CS6 for final editing. Thank you very much to Spaceweather and also to all those whose pictures have thrilled and inspired me over the past year. For the coming year 2026, I wish you all many clear dark nights, and bright peaceful hearts.
