Details:
About an hour before sunset I noticed the solar data started to look promising from a quick peak of some aurora potential after the sunsets. Though the clouds seemed to be a issue but right as the sun set the clouds moved out. So I setup a live stream and as soon as the glow was almost gone I started to notice a single red pillar in the sky. But I was unsure so I headed out for a test shot and around 6pm cst thats when I discovered we had a substorm on going. This one single pillar took almost 30 mins to clear my from frame. Then about two hours later the sky exploded with naked eye aurora. I was truly stunned on the show we had in the backyard as I was not expecting something to that magnitude to unfold
