Details:
On the evening of November 20 at 6:24 pm MST Comet C/2025 A6 (Lemmon) was about 2 degrees above the western horizon just above the orange twilight sky as evening twilight faded enough to get a 10 second picture of the comet. A faint tail about 1/2 degree long could barely be seen to the upper left of the comet with a comet coma about 5' wide. There were enough stars visible in the image to allow Astrometrica to calculate the magnitude at 5.3, about 5x fainter than at its peak brightness in late October. The comet is now moving into the Sun's evening glare as seen from Earth and won't be observable from the Northern Hemisphere soon but will appear in the skies of the Southern Hemisphere in December.
