Details:
This was looking east with the aurora illuminating a cottonwood tree, with Orion's belt to the right of the tree and the Hyades above it. This shot nicely shows hydrogen-blue glow to the right of the tree, then the three colors of oxygen excitation--light red, green, dark red--at different altitudes. It was beautiful with the naked eye, too!
