Details:
Deep red, green and orange colors visible to the naked eye (!) changing continually from 10:11 pm til 12:01 am, from the NW to N and NE skies, from the horizon to almost the sky's zenith! Right from our front yard here in central Virginia in the Shenandoah Valley. The strongest, most colorful and longest-lasting auroras visible to the naked eye that I've seen anywhere outside the Arctic Circle-- incl those on Oct 10'24, which weren't as visible to the naked eye here! Cloudy a good part of the time, but that just made the colors more dramatic! (Pics were hand-held for up to 30 secs, so blurry and with more colors and more intense than were visible to just the naked eye.)
