Details:
On Sep 14th at 2341 Alaska time while shooting the aurora I spotted a weird light hovering in the sky to the west. I took a couple photos to see what it was and got quite the surprise! The temperature was about 50f and here is a light pillar! It was hovering over a nearby natural gas drilling rig. It only lasted for about 15 minutes and most of the time was very faint.
