November 11, 2025 at 8:40 p.m. EST, I was in the heart of light-polluted Philadelphia, PA, USA not having much luck seeing the aurora with my eye or even my phone camera. I suddenly spotted a diffuse green blob with my eyes and was able to snap three photos with my phone camera before it faded and disappeared about 30-60 seconds later. I now realize this may have been a proton aurora.
