Details:
An intense geomagnetic storm produced vivid aurora displays in Eastern Iowa on the evening of Tuesday, November 11, 2025. The northern lights reached visual intensity around 9:15 pm CST, as red pillars reached all the way to the zenith in the sky. The two images here look north from about three miles north of Marion, Iowa. Nikon Z6ii camera.
