Details:
One of the top five auroral displays I have seen in my 50+years of observing Northern Lights, tonight November 11, 2025 , from downtown Cody Wyoming. Strong red swaths, green bands, and even a yellow band - all ranging over the entire north half of the sky from east to west at my location 45° N latitude , just after sunset. The display lasted at least an hour. Photo taken on Nikon D5300 dslr with an ancient 24mm f/2.8 AIS Nikkor manual lens. Exposure 4 secs. at wide open f/2.8 at ISO 1600, from my front yard one block off the 4-lane highway thru town Note the doe Mule Deer feeding on the lawn across the street in the first frame.
