Details:
The Sun continues this morning to be loaded with activity. If you have any way to view the sun today, surely pull it out and take a look. These are calcium K images, which are in the near UV spectrum and are challenging to get good clean images due to poor seeing in UV, and the unfortunate internal reflections in the Lunt B600 filter. Proms are very dim, but given enough exposure you can get them. these are with my WO Zenithstar 81 guide scope on the back of my 10 inch, and are Prime and 3x. Seeing was good today, lots of very fine details!
