Details:
These images of Comet Lemmon were taken on Monday, October 27th at 9:03pm and 9:12pm just before bands of cloud moved in. The seeing was exceptional with excellent transparency without any haze or auroral glow. I was very pleased with the overall results considering the very basic set up with a small tracking mount (iOptron SkyTracker generation 1) which can barely support the heavy Canon 100-400mm lens and the Canon 6D MKII DSLR. The first photo was taken with a focal length of 400mm, exposure of 42 seconds, ISO 4000, f/5.6. The second photo was taken with a focal length of 220mm, exposure of 41 seconds, ISO 4000, f/5.0. These are single exposure images with no stacking. These are most likely the last images I will get considering the forecast and brightening moon. Thank you Comet Lemmon for being such a photogenic target and an inspiration for astrophotographers.
