Details:
On October 18 and 19, there was a starry night without a moon. It was well suited for taking pictures of Comet Lemmon. However, I also wanted to take some pictures of the Milky Way, so I used a tripod and an 8 mm lens with an aperture of 6.3. To my surprise, I saw red and yellow spots on the horizon on the camera display. I pointed the lens in that direction and saw that they were polar lights. There was also a red arc above them. At first, I thought it was a random reflection of light. At home, I remembered a SpaceWeather photo from October 20 and read the article. Then I knew it was a SAR arc. I had never heard or read anything about it before. Recording data: October 18, 2025, Camera: Canon EOS 200D, Lens: 8 mm, Aperture 6.3 – ISO 6400, Exposure: 30 seconds / 22 seconds
