Details:
We drove some 50 km from the city center of Berlin to the northeast to see Comet Lemmon but to our big surprise got an even better show with a wonderful aurora under perfect skies with the air coming straight down from the North Pole crossing the Norwegian Mountains and thus being very dry and clear. We even saw and captured a bright fireball with an impressive terminal flash just west of Comet Lemmon. Oh what a night! When we left all our gear was covered in rime.
