Details:

649 Josefa is a main belt asteroid. It was discovered on 11 September 1907 by August Kopff of the Landessternwarte Heidelberg-Königstuhl in Heidelberg.
It should be officially named after Josefa Llanes Escoda who was a Filipino teacher and social worker known for her role in the establishment of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines and campaigns for women's suffrage. But it is not up to me to decide.

Kopff also discovered the Asteroid 631 Philippina

August Kopff was the son of a master plumber in Heidelberg. From 1900 to 1905 he studied mathematics, physics, and astronomy at the University of Heidelberg.
A lunar crater is named after him
