Details:
On 19 September 2025, a rare Lunar Occultation of bright planet Venus occured in the daytime sky over Ústupky, the Czech Republic. The Venus disappeared behind the crescent Moon at 2:14 pm and reappeared at 3:25 pm. It was truly a big challenge to find both objects in the sky and make nice shots of this unusual view. Fortunately, the weather was perfect, and I was able to do it. The most beautiful moment of the whole phenomenon was just when Venus started to hide behind the crescent. It looked like a bright pearl on the lunar edge. Used a Dobsonian 10-inch telescope, f5, Nikon Z6III, ISO 250, 1/8000s exposure.
