Details:
Let's talk about last night; I certainly wasn't expecting that! Around 8:40pm, I started seeing activity on the Aurora apps and feeds. To be honest, I was kind of tired and wasn't in the mood to drive sporadically throughout the countryside. But when God provides the lights, you either choose to miss it, or you get out and drive. I chose the latter. And besides that, it's incredibly rare to get clear skies, no moon, perfect temperatures and no wind. So yeah... I had no excuses left. As the evening progressed, the lights got brighter and more vibrant. My friend Ken and I drove up and down east/west dirt roads about 20 minutes north of London (Ontario). Pillars became clear to the naked eye. We traipsed through dirt and ditches to find some interesting foregrounds. I only face-planted in the dark twice -- once in a field, and another when I underestimated the depth of a ditch. 😂 All worth it though. By around 11:30, we called it a night. God is good. Ps. 36:9
