Auroras SHINE DOWN (photo 1) as the SKY CRACKS OPEN (photo 2) outside of Delta Junction, Alaska at 3:35 am AKDT on September 8, 2025. Cracks in the moonlit clouds coincided with cracks in Earth’s magnetosphere allowing for some ethereal and blazing auroras to add color to the night.
