It was great to see auroras for the first time here in Northern Illinois since spring. It was barely naked-eye visible (the bright moon didn't help) but easily photographed. The photo was taken at 9:18 central daylight time on September 1st. I'm looking forward to seeing more auroras as we approach the equinox!
