After my recovery from cancer treatments I have slowly re-entered the world of astronomy (the cloudynights community is a bunch of shitheads by the way) Ive been paid to crack open Lunt ls50 pressure tuned etalons with the intention of removing the collimators so it operates at high resolution with a baader planetarium tz4 telecentric. After resealing everything with aerospace grade silicone and adding an infrared rejecting bk7 glass window- I test it with a lunt pc-usb digital air compressor. I have built and sold 5 of these now and it is very successful. It does require a larger blocking filter because 5mm sucks, but this is how i test it before shipping it to the user.
