Re: your report that comet 3I/ATLAS has a tail pointing at the Sun. "Anti-tails" are a known appearance, due to perspective, that seems to show a forward pointing tail. EG the photo on the APoD above. Have you excluded this about 3I/ATLAS? You don't discuss it in your decription.
