Details:
I captured this colourful meteor while hunting for Perseids on the night of 9-10 August 2025. It isn't a Perseid as it doesn't line up with the radiant point from which those meteors emanate. Rather, it is a random, or sporadic, meteor. It is passing through the constellation of Perseus. Below it can be seen the Pleiades and Hyades open clusters in Taurus. The meteor was seen at 02:33 UT on 9 August 2025. I used a Canon 550D with Samyang 16mm lens at 10s exp, f/2.0, 16mm fl, ISO-400.
