Details:
Comet C/2025 K1 (ATLAS), imaged on July 21, 2025, has continued to approach and rapidly increase in brightness, gaining one magnitude since my previous image taken fifteen days earlier. In this image, with a brightness close to magnitude 14, a tail can also be seen, which has grown in length to about 3.5 arcminutes. The high density of stars in the field reveals the comet’s approach to the Milky Way, in the constellation Vulpecula. TS-Photon 8" f/3.7, Atik 383L+, Exp=63 min, FOV=49x37'(crop), N:Up E:Left.
