Details:
Through 15x50IS binoculars I estimate the nova to be at mag 7.3, comparing against the 2 HD stars in green. Magnitude data is in the black box at bottom center; "v?" means the star is supposedly variable but the period and range are unknown (so how is it known it's variable??); "ve" is an eruptive variable--normally quiet but with brief random outbursts; however, the questionable stars all appeared to have their nominal values. Magnitude values come from Sky Safari Pro v.6.
